Letter dated 6 June 2022
Dear Y'all,
This past week was awesome! Here is the run down.
On Tuesday I was mowing the Roper's lawn and suddenly I noticed one of the wheels was about to snap off. Over estimating its strength I proceeded to continue pushing along until it finally snapped off. I broke their lawn mower... kindof. After assessing our disturbing lack of duct tape I decided to do something drastic. I was going to lift the lawn mower precariously the rest of the way no matter what. I was successfully able to finish the whole half acre and we offered to pay for another wheel when we saw them next but they fortunately already knew the lawn mower was going to break so they already had some spare wheels so we put the new ones on. Score!
On Wednesday we had interviews with President Harris which was great and I went on exchanges to the Portuguese area. It was a lot of fun saying "Brigado" and smiling and nodding even in more awkward parts of our lessons but that's how not knowing languages works sometimes!
On Thursday we had a great District Council and had a great time at our weekly game night... which none of our investigators attended. In any case it was great because we got to meet more members of the ward while playing the popular card game "BANG!".
Throw in some amazing lessons and even more service projects that I didn't break stuff at and that was our week. It was pretty cool honestly because throughout the week we met with Melody a few more times and were able to get her to calm down again and settle back into her routine AND she got time off of work to come to church so that was hype! Thank you for the prayers.
Lastly, we got transfer calls last night aaaaaaaannddd...
I will be staying in Paper Mill with Elder Shaw and we are getting a third companion! It is going to be a great transfer.
God bless and I hope everyone continue to prosper and be well,
Sincerely,
Elder Nicholas Nephi William Schindler
