Letter dated 30 May 2022

Dear loved ones, Sorry about last week, my pday hours caught up to me and I didn't have enough time to properly write an email since Week 46 was so amazing. Anyways, here is another double threat weekly. Week 46 started with me exchanging into the Magnolia Spanish area with my zone leader... my trainer Elder Huber! It was a lot of fun speaking Spanish again and doing it all with Elder Huber again. It was nostalgic, epic, esoteric, and all the other -ics. After that we had some amazing lessons and we extended a baptismal invitation to Jennifer Quarles and she received an answer of having it on June 18th! Very exciting news! On top of that we had some great experiences teaching our friends and Melody was able to learn about both the plan of salvation and the gospel of Jesus Christ which was a great foundation for her as she gets closer to having a greater testimony. We also had Zone conference which had a huge emphasis on The Doctrine of Jesus Christ and our own personal worthiness and it was awesome. Finally, I would like to share my sweetest experience of that week. On Sunday we visited the Welches. The Welches are a family in the ward and Brother Welch has had many difficulties in communication and speech because of a stroke he had many years ago. We decided to share the story of Enos and explained how he was able to feel the forgiveness of his sins and the Lord explains how it is done. "Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole." Brother Welch began to cry and in a clear voice he said, "I believe in Christ". The only response I could muster was, "you are whole". We cried together and Elder Shaw and I offered to give him a blessing of comfort. It was a very tender and sweet experience. Since then on week 47 we were able to find several people through revelation which was great! One of the days we were referred to assist a grandmother who was not being properly cared for so we went to visit her. She is an elderly woman from Kenya with an amazing story of faith perseverance. We gave her a blessing of healing and got her in contact with her local Relief Society president. Other than that we have had great visits in terms of getting members invested in gathering Israel and it has been awesome. Last but not least, I have some very sad news. Melody has gone off the rails and may not get baptized. She can use all the prayers she can get. Also pray for the Rich family (a ward family) as they look for a job. God bless and I hope everyone has a wonderful week, Sincerely, Elder Nicholas Nephi William Schindler P.s. I hit a year of serving the Lord and have less than a year left. Yay!
