Dear y'all, This past week was awesome, but here is the combined rough and final draft/quick notes version of it. I started teaching Branly's (the youth who was baptized when I came in) whole family and they are developing some fantastic faith at the moment and they hope to be baptized soon We went to a zone conference about the Holy Ghost and it was "Spirit"ual to say the least 👻 We taught Timothy Paul again and had breakfast with him and he really wants to be baptized. We are working on him quitting Word of Wisdom issues so if there are any suggestions about quitting cigarettes I would love to share them with him. We also taught this guy named Cain who has a cat named Able (not a joke) and he is cool. We ate at the Harpers and they were hilarious. Not always with spiritually uplifting jokes but hilarious nonetheless I went on exchanges with Elder Hoggan and we worked super hard and focused on talking to everyone and not letting any opportunity get away. He is a beast. Our friend Jill is on date! It will be in 3 months because her member husband wants to take things slowly even though she wanted to get baptized next week 🙃 I lost badly at pool at brother Daube's house which was sweet 🎱 Anyways, I am well, just need some sleep. Dear y'all, This week was pretty great! On Monday we met with a less active member who has been struggling with certain addictions and has had a rough time. We invited him back to church and he wanted to come back and make a change in his life. Unfortunately he didn't make it to church but we will see what happens in the future. On Tuesday I went on exchanges with the Azalea Elders because Elder Bateman had to run off to Mission Leadership Conference and it was awesome! I got to spend the day in my previous area and It was blast. On Wednesday we moved a member and his non member wife and learned that she wants to get sealed in the Rome Italia temple so we are excited to start teaching her this Sunday! On Friday I went on exchanges...in Chestatee! (My other previous area for those paying attention.) Chestatee was so fun to come back to and meet with Jere (the metaphorical Mormon) Krischel and Jeremiah Williams who was one of my favorite members ever. Lastly, Sunday was great! I gave a talk about being an instrument in the Lord’s hands and I lead a discussion with my companion about doing missionary work with the youth and it was very spiritually uplifting. Then we taught Timothy Paul. He has lived one of the most difficult and most frivolous lives I have heard of and at the age of 61 he lost everything. Right when that happened he found God and realized he existed. We taught him about his divinity as God's son and he ate it up and he wants to be baptized. It was honestly one of the coolest lessons I have taught on my mission and we are excited to continue to teach him. Anyways, gotta bounce, love yall. Dear y'all, This week was the first week in Fowler Park and Pilgrim Mill and it was AWESOME!!! My New companion is Elder Bateman and he is fantastic. He is a really dedicated missionary and it is a pleasure to work with him. We also had a baptism this past Saturday and it was extremely heartfelt! His name is Branly Chavez and his best friend was able to baptize him. It was genuinely one of the sweetest experiences I have had on my mission. The members here are also fantastic and have welcomed me in very warmly. It may not be Papermill but these wards are right up there in terms of fantastic member support for the work!
