Letter from 20Sept2021

Dear friends, family, and other, This week was pretty awesome with a ton of spiritual experiences and some sweet times with my companions. We have been knocking on a ton of doors of people who have been visited in the past and it has honestly been fantastic. One less active member we met with gave us Chik fil a and he seemed pretty excited to come back to church when we invited him. All of our lessons have been really uplifting and one of our friends wants to get baptized once he is worthy. On top of that another one of our friends Deborah Sinclair will be getting baptized by her brother this Saturday. She is currently in her 60s and is very excited to become a member after searching for the right Church most of life. Other than that we generally did a ton of service and have assisted the community with yard work and we actually did a service project cleaning up a construction site which was really awesome. We also had Stake conference this week and I want to say about a third of the speakers were immigrants who were able to find immense blessings in the church and the whole conference was incredibly uplifting with the focus of the talks being family. I also decided to fast this past Sunday specifically for a greater sense of clarity in my mind. I often have found that on the mission since I meet with so many people who have difficulties concerning the loss of loved ones, with job loss, with drug abuse, or anything difficult they are dealing with, sometimes my mind gets a little cloudy since I occasionally dwell on those difficult issues. Regardless, the Lord shines his light upon all people with difficulties and I have been far more optimistic and clear headed today and yesterday. Also, we made some absolutely FIRE pretzels. These things were really good Love you all, have an awesome week and I write again next Monday! Elder Nicholas Nephi William Schindler

Dear everyone! This week was awesome because Deborah got baptized! Her Brother who is a member baptized and confirmed her and the whole service was very sweet! Other than that, lessons kept on keeping on without too much happening. We did go to this awesome duck and goose pond for a lesson. Sadly the person did not show up, but the ducks were very cute and fun to feed. For this week I actually went on exchanges with the Winder Zone Leaders which was awesome! We didn't have any planned lessons for the day so we were outside finding most of the day. It was very fulfilling to head home at the end of the day and know we did a good work. We also found a dead frog. Sad days 😞 So I know Halloween isn't for a hot minute but I got a skeleton who I named Skeletor and we found a misty haunted house near one of friends. It was really cool to find it near one of our lessons. Lastly, we did some service for a kind farmer and he gave us some deer burger. Sadly Elder Huber had to take benadryl for getting ant bites. Love you all! Elder Nicholas Nephi William Schindler Ps: transfers are tomorrow and I will be staying in commerce for a third transfer. Elder Huber will be leaving and we will receive Elder Schern. I am so looking forward to this new transfer and for tackling this work even harder than before!
